Japanese 101: Numbers App Reviews

I was just thinking that it would be great to have someone drill you on large numbers for a while, until you can think of huge numbers in Japanese without trying. Then I saw this new app, and its really exactly what I was looking for. Perfect!

Numbers can be hard in Japanese. This app is a great way to practice- well-designed and easy to use. I especially like the randomized function. Expecting future versions to have the millions and billions.

I agree with the previous reviewer, Ive been studying Japanese for 7 years and living in Japan for 4 but when the numbers get higher than 10,000 Im not able to always catch them 100% of the time and this app is good for practice with that. The multiple choice wasnt as helpful for me (a bit easy) but the fill in the blank option provides the right level of challenge. Cool app!

There have been many occasions at a Japanese convenience store where I didnt catch the amount I had to pay and had to look at the register display. This app is helping me train my brain to quickly catch those numbers. I find the quiz mode where I have to type in the numbers I hear particularly effective.

I really think this app is helpful if you have problems with Japanese numbers. I was looking for something like this. The price is pretty good too.

No recent updates, but works fine in iOS8 on a 5S. Decent-quality audio clips go into the millions, spoken at a natural (fast) pace. Awkward to type quiz answers, but easy to hand write on paper and check them in multiple-choice mode (great option -- one reason to purchase).

Please Update for iOS 9!!!

Crashes every time. Complete waist of money. Utter rip off. Do not buy!!!
